Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jack is looking for his forever home!! He is 5 years old and has a soft smooth coat, weighing in at approximately 13 lbs. Unfortunately, his previous owner passed away and Jack was surrendered after his owner's son was unwilling to keep him. Jack has had a rough time between the time he was surrendered and MAJR taking him in. As a result, Jack has developed some trust issues. A stable, loving home will help Jack regain his trust. He is a very smart little guy and has already had great improvements at his current foster home. His foster parents have found that Jack responds very well and learns quickly with just a little patience and persistence (and lots of treats). He likes to test people to see if they are trustworthy. Once he knows this – the lively and playful Jack characteristics eagerly erupt! Thus, Jack needs a Jack Russell savvy forever home with the drive and patience to help Jack be the dog we know he used to be! Each day, you can see more and more of that dog returning. Jack absolutely loves going for walks – we think it’s his favorite thing to do! Jack also loves playing fetch (loves his tennis ball) and chasing squirrels in the back yard. Jack is fully housebroken and knows commands such as “sit” and “stay.” Jack has all of his shots, is neutered and is also micro chipped. Jack is friendly towards other dogs, especially bigger ones and is probably better off in a forever home without children. He has not done well with cats or dogs smaller than him. Jack is not fond of loud noises and gets anxious in a vehicle. However, his current foster parents feel that he just needs to get used to vehicles again, as he responds well to “want to go for a ride.” We know this guy will rebound and settle quickly in the right forever home! Once he knows he can trust you, he never wants to leave your side. If you would like more information on Jack, please feel free to get in touch with us.
