Meet Koda! This handsome lady-killer was found wondering down a side street off of 105 a couple of months ago by the K&M staff. Besides being a little thin when we got him, this guy has been a perfect gentlemen from the start.
Koda is believed to be a cattle dog lab mix. This guy is the prefect medium sized pup that is around 50lbs and is believed to be no more than 3 years old. Koda meets new dog on a regular basis and is always just happy to have a new friend. He loves to run around and have his many pack members play chase after him. If he decides he's done playing he will give the dogs a growl, but has never done more than a nip to tell them to leave him alone, he is a very personable pup!
Like most lab mixes he also loves the tennis ball and an occasional dip in the baby pools to cool off his feet when it’s hot outside. He hasn’t figured out that whole fetch thing quite yet but he sure is enjoying getting to play with some toys as if they are all a first for him. He loves to play!
Though Koda truly loves his friends he is probably more interested in his people. Koda loves to stand up and do a little dance on his back feet for you when he gets excited. One of his favorite things is to run around and show off with his friends and then come back for some good lovin’ as to say, “Did you see me mom?” He does love a good back scratch but is a major sucker for a treat. His food motivation is very helpful in all of his training as he will do anything to get one. So if your looking for a cuddle buddy or a pup to learn cool tricks with, this sweet man is for you!
Koda knows some of his basic commands but will need someone to help him continue with his training as he’s a first timer! He is crate trained, knows how to sit, stay and go to his bed. Koda is healthy and current on all vaccinations and monthly preventions, however he is heartworm positive. This in no way affects his health and he will come with a year supply of medication to help him finish out his remainder of treatment. It is simple and easy for anyone to do, just a small dose of liquid in his dinner once a month and he is good to go! He is neutered and microchipped, and available for foster or adoption through K&M Canines!
