Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What is your name?
My name is Daisy and I am as sweet as a flower.
How old are you?
I am around 3-4 months old. My birthday is probably mid-October to early
November 2015
What do you look like?
I am growing like a weed. I am around 30+ lbs. and I have longer back legs
than my front. I am tan with dark hair streaked into my coat. I have the most
gorgeous eyes. Very light tan eyes.
What do you like to eat?
My foster mom has been feeding me FROMM’S GOLD for puppies. I LOVE IT!
Some days I get to snack on bully sticks while I chill in my kennel.
What kind of personality do you have?
I am a loving, gentle, and playful pit bull. I love to play in the backyard and hop
around, and when I'm tired you can find me snoozing and relaxing in my
kennel. I am great around people of all ages! I am very submissive, but I am
coming out of my shell.
Describe your perfect day:
I have so much fun in the backyard playing with sticks and other toys I can
chew on. I'm learning how to walk on a leash and I love getting to walk
alongside my foster brother, Buddy, checking out all the neighborhood sights
and smells. My perfect day would also include chewing on my nylabones,
running with the big dogs, and cuddles with my foster family.
What is your favorite toy?
I LOVE to chew on all my toys, but my stuffed platypus is my favorite to
snuggle with when I got to sleep. I love it so much and I also love my little pink
piggie. I am very gentle with soft toys.
Do you know any tricks?
My main trick right now is sitting (which I do VERY WELL) and going potty
outside. I am almost 100% crate trained...but I have just been inside for the
first time in my short life so I sometimes get distracted and might pee on the
floor. I am still learning, but mostly I go potty outside. I also am very patient
and sit and wait for my breakfast and dinner. I am also learning not to jump
on people, but I get so excited to see everyone.
What scares you?
One thing that scares me is the vacuum. I run away from it. I am not used to
stairs, so I have not mastered those yet, but I am sure it won’t take me long.
Do you like cats?
I haven't had much experience with cats, but I would be curious to learn more
about them! I’m sure I’d LOVE THEM, not sure if they would LOVE ME.
Do you have any doggie best friends?
EVERY SINGLE DOG I MEET and EVERY PERSON I meet is my new best friend. My
best buddy at my foster house is my foster sister, Lucy. We both love to run
around. She never gets mad at me when I try to take her tennis ball.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere with a nice home and a backyard for me to RUN, RUN, RUN.
How is your health?
I am in awesome health. When my foster mom took me in, I had worms. I took
great medicine to make me all better. I am so thankful for Dr. Johnson for
taking great care of me.
Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
I share a home with two humans, Buck and Maureen and 3 other rescue dogs
like me; Buddy-9 year old cocker spaniel mix (we call him Crabby Grandpa),
Sally-6 year old pit bull/boxer mix (she treats me like her own kid) and Lucy-6
year old pit bull. She is my favorite because she likes to play and run like me. I
like Maureen because she feeds me and walks me everyday and I like Buck
because he loves to snuggle with me on the couch and gives me peanut
butter Kongs when he goes to work.
Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
When I am the only one in the house, my foster parents put me in my crate. I
LOVE my crate because I know I will get cookies when I go in. My crate is out in
the living room where Buddy and Lucy hang all day, so I get to watch them
sleep and bark if someone walks by our house.
Where do you sleep?
I sleep in my crate with my foster dog mom, Sally. Sally gets the big crate, I am
in a medium-sized crate. I don’t mind sleeping in my crate because it is filled
with plenty of warm blankets and my special stuffed animals!
What do you love about your foster family?
I love that my foster family has been so patient and understanding showing
me how to be a good dog during my puppy phase. I have learned how to sit,
wait for my food, love my crate, play nice with my foster siblings, be
submissive when the older dogs boss me around. Mom takes me on walks
everyday.I am so lucky and proud to be an Even Chance dog!
What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into
the welcoming arms of your foster parents?
I was rescued from a family in Illinois who couldn’t look after me and my
brother, Amos anymore. I was around 3-4 months old when they rescued
me. I was full of worms and only ate human food. It didn’t take long for me to
figure out what a nice, loving home was with regular meals and humans
petting me and cuddling me all the time. I am so happy to be with Even
Chance.
Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most
cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our
dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior
to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as
they grow up. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog
to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are
in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the
best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make
when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the
perfect pit bull for you and your family and you are interested in giving me a
forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application here and my
foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We
look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants.
