Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My heritage is really a mystery but my foster thinks I have a body and move like a German shepherd and the coat and sweetness of a golden retriever; plus i love to play fetch.I do like to sit in a kids swimming pool and sometimes I get to stand in the horse trough. I was really wild when I came into rescue but I am learning how to channel my energy. I am great with all dogs and love to play so I need a big yard or acreage to run on. I learned to sit very quickly and I will sit anytime you ask and also know down. I have been outside the fenced yard and love to run, but always come when called. (I can let myself out if my foster forgets to snap the gate.) There are horses and mules at my foster home and I bark at them but do not chase them. I have beautiful eyes and they sparkle when I look at you. I need a forever home that would like to take me to obedience school so I can learn more manners and it will be a good bonding experience for both of us. I am probably around 3 years old, spayed, on heartworm preventive, current on shots and microchipped. I know how to use a doggy door, but will need to be supervised when in the house because I can be like a "bull in a china closet". I need to be crated when riding because I would probably be in your lap if I were loose. An application and terms of adoption can be found at www.dfwcollierescue.org and DFW Collie Rescue can be contacted by phone or text message at 214-668-5794. An adoption fee and small fee to register my microchip is required as well as a home visit and reference checks. If you want to come visit with me I will try to slow down long enough to say hi! i am being fostered southwest of Ft. Worth, Tx.
