WHOAH DUDE-WHAT A TACKLE! C’MON, LET’S PLAY AGAIN!
Marcel is a young (we think an older puppy, approximately 6-8 month old) Bichon/Poodle mix (that’s our best guess!).
Characteristic of Bichons, he is a clown, full of energy and antics! Like any baby, he enjoys play time, then a good long nap. His overall personality is easy-going, but he does need his daily dose of exercise and play time!
He loves other dogs and enjoys rough and tumble play. He gets along with cats as well.
We require a home with children ages 8 or older.
Marcel does not appear to have been on a schedule to learn to go “potty”-he has attempted to mark but the home he was in had an above average number of animals and he will be neutered on 02/04/16 which we hope will stop his marking behavior. We have him wearing a belly band in his foster home. He is extremely smart and we feel he will pick up a routine very quickly. We caution potential adopters that any new furry family member needs time to adjust to new people, a new routine, and a novel lifestyle.
Marcel is an escape artist-another Bichon trait. He WILL dart out an open door (another reason for no small children as noted above). We strongly recommend a home that will place a baby gate between him and any exits and he would do best with a fenced-in yard as he is energetic and does need daily exercise. Due to his intelligence, he needs daily play activities to engage his mind in constructive play and keep “mischief managed.”
