My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marble has had more than his fair share of bad stuff. He was confiscated from an owner who allowed him to be starved to death's door, spent a week in an animal hospital (Where even the Vet felt he may not live), had 8 weeks in a noisy shelter environment, and finally found a foster home. Marble was so scared of life in general, afraid to be happy. With several weeks of loving care, Marble is finally realizing life is not too bad a place. There is not an aggressive bone in his body, and for a dog as scared as he has been, this is an amazing and commendable quality. He has an eager personality, dying to please, but still a little worried about getting hurt. He does try very hard and it is obvious he wants to trust. Time with a loving and understanding companion will do wonders for him. He is in a home with several female dogs. One, 10 months old, spends most of her time lovingly mauling him, and he lets her do her thing without complaint. He has learned about how the doggie door works and comes in and out of the house. He will need supervision to continue his house training. If he hears a strange noise, he will bark a few times and then is satisfied. He is not a big barker. A home with female dogs or no other dogs would work for Marble. A home who understands he is still working on trust issues and won't mind taking the time to show him life can be great and full of love. Marble has been through plenty and it is time for his best years to begin. He is 3 years old. Neutered, heartworm negative and micro chipped. Up to date on shots.
