Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fanny is a special little dog and a survivour for sure. We believe she is an Australian Terrier and age guestimate around 5. She has beautiful big soulful eyes and loves to cuddle. This sweet little girl was found in a drainage ditch out on a back road with the road burn on her face and leg showed she had probably been thrown from a car. It was quickly found that she was peeing blood and a very quick run to our vet showed she had a GIANT bladder stone - so big that the vet was amazed it hadn't ruptured. She also had several cysts on her mammaries and wan't fixed. We assume she had had puppies and thrown away when not needed any longer. Her stone was removed which took away the pain of urinating, and she was spayed, and had one mammary chain removed. A couple of the cysts showed cancer but contained. She had to wait until the first side healed before the other chain could be removed due to the amount of tissue that has to be taken. Before the second operation the vet did more blood test and a chest xray. Nothing had spread which was great news and the other chain was removed. She has been happily recuperating in her foster home where she has become an amazing family dog. She has gone with Happy Tails to several adoption shows to help her socialize and she took to it like a duck to water and charmed everyone.
Now it's time for Ms. Fanny to go to her very own home and be loved like she should. There is always the possibility of a recurrence and whoever adopts her will have to be aware of that.
If you are interested in Fanny, contact Judianne@happytailsrescue.ca for an application.
Fanny's adoption fee is $375. She is spayed and up to date on shots.
**applicants must be in a 2 hr driving range from Toronto/Niagara area as we do home visits ourselves with our dogs.
