Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Z aka Zombie crate trained and adventurous, if you're looking for a hiking/running/camping buddy Z is your pup!! Z is looking for a spacious yard to run, romp, play and be silly! This approx 12 month old puppy is a survivor! She was found in the California City desert the first week of November. Z was in horrible condition and her outlook wasn't good, she had ringworm in between her eyes and on her nose, was in pain, her skin was falling off in chunks and she smelled like death. This puppy looked like an extra from The Walking Dead. Once her stray hold period was up at the California City Animal Shelter we took her in and rushed her to our wonderful vet. Dr. Thurman's staff determined that this SWEET, amazingly loving puppy had been tortured. She was partially skinned, scalped and then doused in some kind of chemical that literally was eating away at her flesh. Z had a terrible staph infection as a result of being dumped in the desert without medical care. After months of TLC Zombie is ready for her forever family. She has no lingering effects from the torture aside from some areas that are missing hair (and are sensitive to cuts and scrapes) on the plus side she is so fluffy elsewhere her bald patches are mostly hidden. As a bonus we've actually done a DNA test on Zombie and it was determined that this gal is a Akita, Cairn terrier, Chow Chow, Toy Fox Terrier, Staffy mix! She will be approx 30- 38 lbs when she is done filling out, her current weight is 27lbs.
