Sprout has had a hard life and she's barely two years old. She came from a severe neglect situation and after having emergency surgery and being nursed back to health, I thought I found her a forever home. She was happy there and had bonded with the other cat and the dog. Sprout doesn't do well with multiple cats and I told the family that. They didn't listen and took in another cat. Sprout wasn't happy and began acting out and even though she'd been there for close to six months and that was what she considered to be her home, they returned her to me instead of rehoming the new cat.
Sprout was very quiet, confused and dejected the first night she was back with me and it broke my heart. She has since perked up a little, but with all of my other cats around, she is on guard and not happy. And, that breaks my heart.
Sprout is very playful and loves to cuddle (on her terms!). She enjoys sleeping with me (usually by my head) and looking out the windows at the bird feeders. She follows me like a dog and is very affectionate and inquisitive. She is such a wonderful cat and I hope to find her a TRUE forever home soon.
