Hi, I'm Wookie, and I'm the cutest pup ever, even though I am growing up! We really aren't sure what breed or mix I am, but I have one rear double dew claw, ears that stand straight up most of the time, beautiful cassanova eyes, a black cur mouth, and a tail that curls up over my back. I have a wonderful, friendly disposition and have kept my puppy cuteness despite being about 9 mos. old now and a little less than 40 lbs. I do enjoy being outside during the day, though, so I'll need a yard to play in and probalby wouldn't do very well in an apartment. Also, I can be a bit barky at times -- there are just too many neat things outside to talk about -- and very close neighbors most likely wouldn't appreciate it.
I was rescued from the San Antonio pound as a tiny baby -- I was so small and pitiful that my foster mom's daughter cuddled me next to her for the first few days to keep me warm and comfy, and then was very surprised to find out I'd given her scabies :( Thankfully those were quickly and effectively treated, and that was the only health problem I had, so now I'm ready for my forever family -- could it be you?

Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you to set up a home visit if we feel placement is a possibility. At the home visit, we will bring the requested pet to your house or other pre-arranged meeting place to determine if you might be a good 'fit' for each other. If we all agree an adoption is in everyone's best interest, we will make further arrangements at that time.
Please note that, although we do our best with age estimation and breed identification, we are almost always hampered by lack of definitive information. We attempt to note which pets are 'mixes' vs. those that may be purebred and to accurately indicate age, but, due to the nature of rescue, we cannot guarantee any pet's information to be other than our best guess at the time. We sometimes update / change our postings due to better information / additional expertise and apologize if this confuses anyone. If you believe we have misposted a pet or have an alternative suggestion for a pet's breed identification, please let us know and we'll gladly consider updating our data.
Also please note that, because we are an informal group of private fosters and not an incorporated rescue organization, we do not have a physical shelter for you to visit nor do we give out our home addresses or other personal information.
