Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Juhl is currently being fostered in Houston. She is available for out-of-state adoption to the perfect family. Juhl’s adoption fee is $500, which covers her transport home. Her adoption will be a distance-adoption, so unfortunately meeting Juhl prior to adoption will not be possible.**
Juhl came to us as a medical case from a high kill shelter. She was suffering from malnutrition and a non-contagious skin infection so bad that we didn’t even know what breed she was, just that she was a baby in need of our help. Juhl’s health improved so quickly, even we couldn’t believe it! And now, just two months later, she is healthy, happy, and ready to start her new life.
Juhl very clearly had a rough start at life prior to making her way to us. She either lived with very uncaring people, or it’s highly likely, that she was born on the streets and just managed to survive until she was picked up by animal control. Because of this, it takes Juhl a little bit to warm up to new people, she is a bit unsure and shy, but she comes around really quickly with the distribution of cookies – she loves cookies!
Juhl’s is roughly 6 months old, but our age guess could be a bit off since she was so unhealthy when she first came to us, and is still very much in the puppy training and development stage. She is doing well with her house training, but still has the occasional accident and will occasionally piddle a little if she gets scared. She is kennel trained, and will go to it willingly to sleep at night. Her kennel is her safe place, so we have encouraged her to go there when she is feeling unsure.
Juhl’s ideal family will be one that will give her time to learn to trust and warm up to people. We are working on socliazing her out in public, but she is still nervous of new people who approach her quickly. She needs a family that understands that she will need some help building her confidence so that she knows that every day is going to be a great day where she is safe and loved. She started out as a puppy terrified to come near a human and will now seek out love and affection.
Juhl will likely be in the upper 40-mid 50-pound range when she is full grown and will be an active girl who will need appropriate exercise and doggy socialization. She has been well socialized with dogs both small and large and would make a great companion for a resident dog; she would also be perfectly fine as a solo dog.
Juhl has been fully vetted (vaccinations, spay, and microchip) and is healthy. She is ready to leave rescue and start her new life with her new family.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application on our website www.reggiesfriends.org If you hover over the adoptables tab, the link to the application will appear. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org
