Meet Bear! This super sweet handsome pup was rescued from a shelter here in Houston when he was a puppy, and has been in rescue ever since! He is a playful, happy dog who is ready to find his new forever home and family!
Bear is a big boy, weighing in at almost 75lbs, he is definitely considered a large dog. He is estimated to be about 1.5 years old, and is a Labrador mix, possibly with some cattle dog and Great Pyrenese in there since his coat has spots hidden within it, and he is much larger than a lab should be! He is a friendly boy who adores his humans and would prefer to spend his time with you above all others. He loves to run and play, and enjoys his toys and playing outdoors with his humans. His favorite thing to do is go for walks, or go down the street to get a vanilla ice cream for a treat every now and again. Bear has a very mellow personality, and though he can enjoy his playtime he prefers his canine friends to be on his same energy level so no puppies or hyper canine siblings for this boy. He gets along great with other dogs and currently enjoys the company of three other dogs in his foster home.
Bear has already had some training while he has been in rescue, and knows most of his basic obedience commands. He currently knows sit, stay and lay down as well as settle down and go to crate. He is crate trained and fully housebroken, and he LOVES to go for walks so he is exceptional on leash. He responds great when given commands and is a fast learner, so any additional training will be a breeze with this happy guy.
Bear is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and kept current on monthly flea and heartworm preventions. He is available for foster or for adoption through us at K&M Canines. For more information please contact us at KMCanines1@Gmail.com for an adoption application.
