O'Hara was found tied to a tree outside Apache Junction Animal Control. He's basically a happy guy without a care in the world and loves everyone he meets as well as most dogs he meets (but as usual, we'd like a meet & greet with any family dogs you already have). He definitely loves to play with other dogs, so we'd like him to go to a home with a dog buddy for him.
And, it appears foster mommy MAY have been feeding him a little too much, so someone who'd like to go for walks with this handsome chap or give him lots of play time in the yard would be super. He's trying to get his high-school shape back.
O'Hara's sort of a "big lug" type guy. He's a good "guarder" in just the right way (responds well to correction). LOVEs LOVES LOVES to play fetch with anything.
This boy is also the the resident "branch manager" .... he selects only the best branches to drag off for a chew session. If he can't find one of his toys, he does a quick once over in the yard to find a spare branch and he's good to go. We're happy that he likes branches instead of shoes :)
Ideally, O'Hara should go to an active and happy family -- he is all about fun; but we do request no small children. With his playful energy, a toddler or small child could get knocked down and our sweet little buddy here could take the blame or get returned, and we don't want that for him.
O'Hara who is just your All-American happy terrier mix mutt kind of family dog, may be an interesting wheaton terrier / shepherd mix -- now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's 2-3 years old and his adoption fee is $160.00 and he is ready to meet his new family!
Probably wins the award for "best personality." Not that we don't think he's cute, but he's that special kind of cute, and he really does have the best personality! :)
