My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My previous name was Patrick and I got renamed to Bones, but I actually prefer Caesar! I'm a very friendly 4 1/2 yr. old Black Lab retriever mix. I'm crate trained and house trained and come in at about 53 lbs. Originally I came from Maui, and was adopted here, but my people had some serious health issues and weren't able to take care of me any longer. So, I'm looking for my new home again.

Bones is a nice boy. He hasn't had a lot of training but does OK with some of the basic commands. He walks well on leash with a harness or gentle leader. He's only been with us for a few days, and is already learning the tricks of the trade. With consistency and structure, he will pick up commands quickly. He's a VERY happy dog!

He comes on a bit strong with other dogs, but only because he is so excited. He gets the other dog's signals and then just goes about his business. We don't think he's a candidate for the dog park just yet, but could be eventually. Bones has never had any consistent guidance and is very puppy like in that regard. He is very mellow in the house and settles right down easily.

He will be a WONDERFUL family dog, good with kids. He's excitable with other dogs, but pretty mellow with people.
