**Adaline is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee is $500, which covers her flight to her new family, a travel kennel, and she is fully vetted.**
Adaline is about 10 months old and as with many of our great rescues, her mix of breeds is a bit unknown. We feel that she is a Labrador mix, despite that she’s quite tiny for that breed. She is currently 26 pounds and we expect her to possibly reach 30-35 pounds as an adult. Her blond coat, expressive ears, cinnamon colored nose and gold eyes give her a unique and stunning appearance.
This sweet pup had one of the worst beginnings that we’ve seen in our program. She had an incredibly severe case of non-contagious mange and secondary skin infections on top of that. She was essentially hairless, her skin was crusty, inflamed and painful. In addition, she was terribly emaciated, full of parasites and dehydrated and sepsis was very much on our minds as her sweet brother passed very shortly after rescue from that very complication. With the care from her foster mom, several vet visits and medications, she has beaten the odds and has become a strong, gorgeous pup without any residual health issues. It’s time to complete her transformation by adding a family to her life.
Adaline is great with other dogs, very playful and puppy like. She would do well having other furry friends in her life either in her own family or regular visitors. This silly girl rarely sits still unless someone is petting her and then she is super content. She is such an affectionate girl and loves the attention that her foster family shares with her. In her current family, she lives with an 8 year old boy and they get along very well. She has been very well behaved with everyone she’s met so far, so we feel that she could join just about any family and be a happy girl.
She is still a young puppy, so she does need a family that has time to spend on training and has patience to get through the puppy stages. She is crate trained but needs more practice on her leash. She has a Karunda bed in her crate at night and sleeps like an angel. She loves Nylabones. All of the work put into the first year of a puppy’s life by her new family will benefit her lifelong.
Adaline is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation.
