Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murphy is a 65 pound 3 year old Black Mouth Cur/lab mix doggie. He is a happy furry fellow very sweet and loving with all people and enjoys the company and interaction with children, if you want a dog who is reliable and safe with children, Murphy is the one for you. Murphy loves to play, chase balls. Murphy is a very calm and quiet well behaved dog, he walks very well on leash, knows how to sit and lay down on command and stay. Murphy is house trained and crate trained, he will resist going in his crate but as you insist he will just say OK and go in. Murphy is a very dominant doggie, he does well with submissive dogs, specially with females, small doggies and other critters are out of the question with him, specially cats
Murphy was returned 2 years after being adopted supposedly because being aggressive towards all dogs and male figures, we have had Murphy back for a month and a half now and have found none of that to be true. He is been to several adoption events with us to PETCO stores as well as PETSMARTS and he does very well walking inside the stores around other dogs and around all kinds of people. He has been approached by many dogs and on leash he has been OK even when approached by surprise. That said, he does not like aggressively barking dogs, he does tense up but has never lounged at anyone. Here at the kennel, he plays hard with a couple of female dogs, a large coonhound and a medium size super high energy lab/ Schipperke mix
Murphy is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and in excellent health.
