My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I am GORGEOUS Elvis-and unlike the song I am NOT a hound dog! I am so handsome.. I am 40 pounds and just under a year old. I am a typical lab--friendly--loves everyone, people and little dogs big dogs, and of course I LOVE attention! I love to meet new people and dogs. I am a little timid at first but I warm up in no time at all.

So what's my story? I found myself in a high Kill shelter in Texas by no fault of my own. You see in Texas –There millions of stray dogs, if you are a “black” dog you have almost no chance of getting out of the shelters alive. Black dogs are the first to be Euthanized and have very little time to find a home. Fortunately this nice lady recognized my great qualities and contacted Brooke’s Angels to see if they had room for me and could help me find a home. Thank God they said yes! I can now breath a sigh of relief!


I really wish to have nice parents of my own who would take me on adventures and let me relax in a nice warm house.
