My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pierce was born around July or August of 2015. At 6 months, he weighs 6 lbs and isn't expected to get much bigger. Pierce is a little shy guy, but is an incredible snuggler. He won't be the kind of dog that will jump all over you right away, but will be incredibly loyal to the humans that he bonds with. With a quiet, comfortable home, he will blossom.

Pierce is a low maintenance kind of a guy. He will be happy to just co-exist with any other animals and humans in the house. He will appreciate a warm lap to sit in at night and snuggle down with.

Pierce is fostered in Atlanta, but a meet and greet in Chattanooga can be arranged by appointment.

Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.

SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
