Meet STELLA!
Stella originally came from Oshawa Animal Services as a stray and has been loved very much for the last 2 years by her owner. Stella's owner became too ill to take care of her so she is with a very loving foster home. We can only guess she is around 5-6 years old but is a very peppy and playful dog! She is being fostered with someone who has three other dogs and she adores her foster sister the mini Aussie! While in foster care a lot of dogs come and go and she does very well. She can sometimes be bossy with toys. Although we are not 100% sure of her breed we see a short legged long body type breed. Dachshund or Corgi, maybe even both! We cannot attest to her nature with children as she has not been exposed so we are saying older children for Stella. Stella does love affection and to cuddle on the couch but needs some time to warm up to you. You can gain her trust pretty quickly if offerred a treat ;) She has been sound and shows no sign of lameness despite her long body. She just vetted and had perfect blood work. Because she can sometimes be wary of men, any new men must go slow and win her over with just a short period of respectful time. She loves to play with dogs and toys but can also chill out and relax while watching some TV with you. Stella is a huge snuggler!! Stella is house trained, crate trained good with other dogs and LOVES her toys.
Has not been tested with cats however we do note she has a prey drive so no small animals would be best.
Stella is approximately 5.5 years old and has showed no signs of pain in her hind at all.
