My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OSCAR & RUBY IN MODESTO, CALIFORNIA HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!

These two pals were turned over to NBGR by their owner who has to travel too much for her job now. They are the sweetest little dogs at just 11 lbs. each and 11 yrs. old. Their foster mom has said that they have not had one accident in the home, and get along fine with her other dogs and cats. They both prefer to sleep with their humans or at least in the same room. We would love to see them placed together.

Ruby at ten is a very well-adjusted lady and is in general good health. She would be very easy to live with. She may not be in your lap but always wants to be close to you. She's a lovely little girl who loves to carry around one of her stuffed toys.

Oscar, unfortunately has some health issues. He has a bad knee, bad hi,p and his back was broken at some point and healed incorrectly. Nothing has been done to correct these problems and it appears that he has been living with them for quite some time. He has adjusted to his disabilities and it has been decided that surgery is not an option at this time of his life. He should not be allowed to jump up and down. Oscar is an easy dog to live with.

These dogs are being fostered in Modesto, CA.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
