My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies; if serious about adoption please email caarescue@gmail.com~

My name is Chewie – silly name I know but seriously wait until you meet me and you will see I really do look like I could be an extra in a Star Wars movie!
At 8 years old I was found stray – I was held at one pound for a while and then when no one came for me I was transferred to another pound for a while ……. & that was when I really gave up hope and just shut down. Thankfully there was a kind woman who met me and knew I just needed out of a cage so she contacted CAA Rescue. While I sat all sad and alone little did I know that plans were being made for me to join a foster family and before I knew it I was whisked out of a cage and into a comfy cozy home!
I was a serious and dirty mess – feces and urine were caked onto my bum; once the dirt and the mat was shaved off I had a huggggggggggge infection on my anus (foster mum has pics to prove it!) but since receiving medication all that has cleared up. YAY ME!
Sooooooooooo …….. a little more about me (I feel like I am one of those older divorcés on a dating website for the first time)
I am house trained, I am all business outside all the time little man at approximately 15lbs
I am leash trained and do enjoy my daily walks very much…. That being said when I see a hot mama yorkie chiquita I can pull but only because I want to get up close to her to say, “hi… how you doin’?!”
So far I am not vocal in my foster home. I do the normal small dog yap here and there but nothing too excessive
I have been left alone for short periods of time; I was left uncrated and there was no separation anxiety or destruction to note at this time in foster care. It is important to know that even when my foster humans have left I was not technically alone because there are two other dogs in the home – so technically I never really have been left “alone”
& so YES I am dog friendly ……. Especially if you have or know a yorkie chiquita I can play with! Otherwise I have met big and small dogs at adoption day events with CAA Rescue (which I must say I absolutely hate attending; they are soooooooo bourgeois!) and when I am around these other dogs on leash as long as they are respectful of my space I am in turn respectful of them.
But don’t get me wrong because I love to play, Play, PLAY with my bro in foster care all day long!
I am people friendly, have not been tested with cats and at my age I just think I am done with the young kids. While I have been gentle meeting young children I think I could snap if one of them put me in a stressful situation like say sticking a crayon in my ear – yup come to think of it I would definitely SNAP but then again who wouldn’t!?!
I travel well in the car and enjoy being with my foster mama wherever it is she has to go although her choice in music is a BORING and at times annoying (I think she might be a closet Celine Dion fan!) …… I think I would prefer the classic rock; ya know Zeppelin, Stones, Springsteen, Clapton…… Freaking Floyd MAN! but she won’t let me fiddle with the radio dial in the car while she is driving!
At this time in foster care I show no signs of food or toy possession or aggression with people or dogs
Currently at night I make beddie byes in my crate and am alone in there…. Some times a dude just needs the space of his man cave and my crate is just that spot for me
