Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the intrepid Marco. Named for the explorer Marco Polo, this guy has exploration and discovery down to a science. Famous for exploring the entire veterinary office when he was first rescued, he is a favorite with the vet staff. Marco adores people and gets along with most cats once he knows them. He has a huge purr and loves snuggles and pets more than food. He is approximately 13 years old with mesmerizing ice-green eyes and a medium haired coat. He was very thin when first rescued and is starting to fill out now he has had regular food and a warm bed in which to sleep. We would love for him to have a senior to foster him. He would keep someone great company. He has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is up to date on his shots, and already microchipped. He is a nice boy who interacts easily with both adults and
cat-friendly children. Marco is an affection machine. He stands up to give your hand a head bunt, grabs your hand with both paws to let you know he doesn't want you to stop petting him, and he follows you around like a lost puppy. Simply a wonderful loving companion who will bring you much joy. Like a fine wine he has improved with age. Marco gets along with other cats too. If you would like to meet Marco, contact Shannon@sierrapacificfurbabies.com or 707-441-9502. An application, safety homecheck, landlord approval if renting, and adoption fee of $90 is required for adoption. Discount available to seniors, military/veterans, and on disability. He is a real sweetheart. Come meet him and decide for yourself.

More about this rescue
We rescue animals from high kill shelters or abandoned local strays and foster them until they find an adoptive home. Our southern branch also goes out on emergency rescue calls for cats in drain and sewer pipes, up trees, stuck in walls etc. Transport in available up and down the state of CA. We also TNR local stray and feral populations. The plight of homeless animals moves us deeply. It is unspeakably horrific to see gentle loving animals killed simply because they are homeless. While we cannot save them all, each one saved deserves it. We are a 501c3 registered, CA non-profit corporation.
