Hi I'm VIVEE! I am a baby girl Newfie- mix. She was obviously the runt and because of her birth issues she's not going to be a big newfie mix. I'm just a baby girl 8-9 weeks . I'm a really gentle and loving, sweet spirit! I have overcome miraculous odds. I was diagnosed as a "swimmer puppy" when I was born. If you want to know what it means it means I couldn't walk upright. I used my legs like flippers and paddled around as best I could. MASH rescued me from the shelter before I was put to sleep as "unable to sustain life". I could only get my back feet upright at first. My front legs just slid out from under me and my elbows bent out and up/down. I had a hard time eating at the shelter because my food had to be placed under my mouth and I sometimes got choked because I couldn't hold my head up. After just four days of physical therapy at my foster mom and dad's house I was able to swallow much better and hold my head up better. I could also walk on my front legs slowly. I've been there two weeks now and because they exercised my legs several times each day I'm able to run all over the house. They enticed me to walk to them and I learned!! I love to hug your neck. I'm a quiet gentle girl. My hair is silky. My brother Vin and I were stuck together before we were rescued and we were sooo hungry. He sucked the hair off my tail but it's growing back already over most of it. He also sucked on my back feet and they're healed now! Yesterday my foster mommy found me jumping off of the steps. I just want a great home! I love to meet new people and other dogs! I use my pee pee pads and am about to start house training. I won't potty in my corral unless mom doesn't hear me wake up. I sleep all night from about 11pm until 6:30 am. I still nap about 3-4 times a day for a couple hours. I'm still a little off balance at times but it's going away! I'm hoping to be ready to go to a new home at Christmas. My foster mommy and daddy are watching applications for the right home for me. I promise to be your new best friend forever. Vivee is a special angel who loves everyone. She's not a puppy that can be handled roughly. She's never known anger or danger. She's always happy. At times she gets lost in the house if left unsupervised but when she hears her name (which she absolutely KNOWS!) she works and works to find you! Vivee still eats mostly canned puppy food because dry is still kind of hard for her to chew and swallow and can get stuck in her mouth, but we expect that'll go by as she gets older. Vivee doesn't make a peep unless one of the other puppies bite her hard. She's a special girl and will need someone who knows that she's a miracle.
