My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Sophie and I love life! I am a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix and am 6 months old. I currently only weigh about 20 lbs and will probably stay on the smaller side. I was found as a stray and ended up in an animal control facility that does not have any funding for adoptions. What that means is that after my stray hold was up, I was going to be destroyed. Can you believe it?!? Me, a 6 month old puppy was going to be destroyed for no good reason.
Thankfully an angel happened to see me there and did what was necessary to get me safe with the awesome people at Good Karma Dog Rescue. My goodness, was I happy to be safe and warm and to be fed good food and get lots of love!!!!
I am still puppy so I have a lot of energy but I am a good girl and listen very well. I know basic commands like "sit" and "down" and sleep very nicely in my crate. My foster family says I am doing great with potty training because I haven't had any accidents in the house since I got here. I am trying my very best! I currently live with other dogs and young children and love them all. I haven't ever met a cat but I get along fine with tiny chihuahuas which is kind of similar, right? haha
I am looking for a family that will be able to do lots of fun things with me. My ideal home would have a big yard or a great place where I can go run and play. It would be nice to be able to have kids to play with or another dog but it isn't a necessity. I can't wait to meet my forever family!
