My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Donte. Donte is a 1.5 year old Retriever mix that weighs around 55 pounds. This boy along with his sister Danica came into our rescue the day before Thanksgiving. I picked them up from a local store where they was dumped by their owners. We posted them that night and found out all the details, so then it was official that they wasn’t wanted and was now ours. These two precious babies was so grateful the next day when I went out to feed them. They just cried and loved on me….again I just couldn’t believe the owners would just dump them on such a busy highway with a chance of being killed. Donte is a sweet and loving boy. He does well with most dogs. The only ones he has a problem with are the ones that growl or act aggressive first. He is a big baby really, when he was neutered I had to literally hand feed him every night. He definitely didn’t take being neutered well at all. Donte is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative, on monthly preventatives and microchipped.

** Donte is being fostered in Tennessee. We do transport out of state but you would not be able to meet him prior to adoption. We know it is difficult not meeting the dog before you make a decision but we will do everything possible to make sure he is the perfect match for you and your family. We will be with you every step of the way.
