Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Vinny weighs 20 lbs and is approximately 2 years old. We are guessing he's a Brussels Griffon mix. Since we don't know what he's mixed with we cannot say that he's hypoallergenic but he is low shedding. He could also be a Pug mix.
Vinny was abandoned by his family when they lost their home. He was left behind in the garage without food or water. Fortunately a concerned neighbor rescued him from the situation. He was badly in need of grooming, vetting and just some love and TLC. Clearly, he'd been neglected for quite some time.
Vinny has been neutered, treated for ear and eye infections/ulcerations. He is now healthy and happy and ready to find his furever home.
Vinny has a longer coat (he was groomed and cut short due to matting) and will need regular grooming. He will also need daily non-prescription eye drops (Refresh or similar lubricating drops) to keep his eyes from getting dry and irritated.
He's a very easy going guy, gets along with everyone including kids, dogs, cats. He would be a good fit for a home where he'll have lots of human companionship. He is what we fondly refer to as a "velcro" dog. He loves to stay close and will make someone a wonderful companion dog.
We are recommending a fenced yard for him. He was allowed to run the neighborhood by his former owners and for that reason it will be best if he can be safely secured in a fenced yard when outside to prevent him from running off. Otherwise he would need to be on leash at all times when outside and never left alone on a lead.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org
And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
