My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Penny, exact date of birth unknown, but about a year old, and still acts like a puppy. Our best guess is that she was already fixed, but was not micro-chipped when she wandered up onto a residential beach in Playas de Rosarito. We have vaccinated this wonderful girl, who LOVES people - a lot, and wants to be someone's very special companion. She is okay around other dogs, but tends to be protective if she feels her humans are threatened. She has some food aggression, but eats fine when only one or two other dogs are near. She is very strong, and is not completely leash trained. She still pulls at the leash and could off balance a child or frail person. She will need training to hone her skills and will only go to a home very familiar with the Labrador personality - one that is willing to work with this wonderful girl. If you do want to put in the time needed to make her the best companion and friend ever, please call for a meet and greet. Penny did not like going to our weekly adoption event. Too many doggy distractions and she is too large to be included in the small corral we have set up at our event. For more information about Penny, please email Sami at samisez@gmail.com.
