My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST
I have found myself to be in a position that it is not possible to keep these three sibling dogs and must find new homes for them in very short order. I may be moving from my current residence by year’s end and will not be able to take them with me. A worst-case scenario of having to take them to animal services is possible, which would be crushing to the dogs and myself. Hopefully with some good fortune and good connections we can spare the dogs of going through this trauma and potentially unfortunate end.

Honey Badger, Princess and Ullrah are sisters and a brother that will be turning three in January. They are not papered, the consensus is that they are likely mostly the original breed of American Staffordshire Terriers. They are Not Pit Bulls, as can be seen in physical traits. This is a southern USA family/farm breed that used to America’s number one family dog, as “Pete” from the Little Rascals exemplified, or “Victor” from RCA records. They are excellent with people and children, quickly becoming bonded and taking on dog responsibilities for their family.

These three dogs are a thin coated, short and heavy haired , not well suited to long periods of time in the cold, but like most dogs, very interested in spending time outdoors. They are all moderately well trained (with the terrible two’s almost over), and they are still very eager to keep on learning.

I will be available to meet with prospective new family members at either my home in Bankview (SW Calgary near 14 st and 17 ave) or elsewhere as convenient. Interested people can email me at dalekastelen@yahoo.com to ask any questions or set up a time and place to meet.

HONEY BADGER. Honey is a big boned girl, above average height for the breed. Pushing 65 pounds, black with white blaze, collar, socks and tip, black nose and a blue “Spirit” eye. She will be three years old in January.
Honey Badger don’t care. Well, in addition to her looks, this is how she got her name. She is goofy, and sometimes does before thinking, but always in gentle fun. She is quite shy with people at first meeting, fairly quickly becoming friends. Once acquainted, Honey Badger will happily play (she Loves to run), roughhouse, and try to share half the bed. In many ways she is an old soul with a young heart.
