Haydn's story is a sad one. She was severely burned by her former owner and sustained third-degree burns over 30% of her back and side. Unfortunately, she received minimal medical care until recently, when she made it to ResQ. Currently, Haydn is on antibiotics, pain medication and Silvadene burn cream. She has also started cold laser therapy to heal the last open wound. Haydn, only about 2 years old, will need significant medical care for a while, including a possible wound revision surgery to help with the tightness the scars have caused since she has difficulty bending one of her rear legs. She may also need hydrotherapy to help with the strength in that leg. She is leery of new things, but we can see a very playful girl (at least, as playful as she can get with a cone on her head!) and believe that she has an incredible and joyful spirit inside her. Please see more pictures of Haydn, but be forewarned, they are a teensy bit graphic. Haydn's adoption fee is $150.
