Lonely? Feeling the need for some companionship and unconditional love? Look no further! Meet Callahan. This sweet, calm and gentle man wants only to be with his human and hang out. He's very laid back and lovable. He will often just walk up to his fostermom and place his sweet head on her lap for a little ear scratching as she works on the computer. He's not a kissy or licky Rat Terrier at all, but is a huge snuggle monkey. Callahan is approximately 22 pounds, very solid and muscular. He has a docked tail and a smooth, shiny black/white coat. He is said to be around 4-5 years old. We have discovered that he can easily jump a baby gate to find his way to his people. He is housetrained and uses a doggy door in his fosterhome. He doesn't love to be crated and will use his voice to make sure you know that, but that is the only time you ever hear a peep out of him. Callahan really requires a family member, whether it be human or canine, to be with him as much as possible. He doesn't like being alone - so someone who works from home or is retired would be the perfect situation for this sweetheart to feel secure. He sleeps so nicely next to his person under the blankets in bed. He does wonderfully with his many canine foster siblings, both male and female, but has not met a cat or child yet. It's a near-guarantee, however, that he would accept any sort of affectionate company favorably. This is truly a special guy with oooodles of love to give. He will light up your life as soon as he gazes lovingly into your eyes as he often does. Callahan eagerly awaits meeting his new forever family. Check out more pictures of Callahan!
