My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Henry

Enough of that laptop! How about a lap cat? It’s ever so much sweeter! If you’d like a quiet, contented companion, think about bringing Henry into your life.

A gray, 3 years old handsome boy, Henry is gentle, affectionate and undemanding. He is past those crazy kitten capers, but young and healthy and full of appreciation for life.

He’ll softly put his paw on you to let you know he thinks you’re wonderful and how about if we cuddle? He is a touchy-feely kind of guy who loves being handled.

He has a great level of energy: relaxed but at the same time he likes to be goofy and play with his little soft toys, chasing laser pointer and after a good snack its time to snuggle with you on a couch and take a good nap.

Henry really adores the human connection and always stays close to people in the house. He enjoys sitting on the chair at the dining room table just like a nice gentleman and than likes to curl on the chair cushion and take a nap.

Henry is a type of cat who greets you in the morning in the bathroom and than follows you downstairs in to the kitchen for a breakfast. As you you can see Henry is a great companion and is ready to keep you company!

VERY SOCIAL,
Loves everyone and enjoys hanging with people a lot, watching TV together, playing, cuddling, helping to write emails on computer. He likes to climb in bed and snuggle. He has a dog a like personality.

I will greet you at the door, find a quiet seat next to you, or fetch a toy at playtime. In fact, “fetching” is my favorite pastime!

Contact my foster mom to learn more about me and meet me. I am just such a great affectionate companion.

Henry is up-to-date on all shots: Distemper, Rabies. Tested negative for Felv/FIV. Neutered. Microchiped. Litter box trained. Trained to use scratching post.

The adoption process:

1) You fill out an Adoption Application.

2) Our Adoption Coordinator contacts you via email to let you know the application has been received and calls you with questions about your application, checks references, and discusses which cats/kittens might be a good match.

3) If the application is approved, the Adoption Coordinator will put you in touch with the appropriate foster home(s) so you can schedule a time to meet the cats/kittens that interest you most.
Once you meet the cats/kittens you’d like to adopt, you let the foster parent and Adoption Coordinator know your choice.

4) We bring the foster cat/kitten(s) to your home and do a walk through your home to make sure your home is safe for a pet.

5) Adoption contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and we give you information to help your new family member settle in. We can provide the information about the cat/kitten(s) diet, preventative veterinary care, training...

And if you have any question a week, a month, or a year after adoption, we are here to help! If for some reason the adoption doesn’t work out, we always take the cat/kitten back.

More about this rescue

Cat Chance Rescue is a non-profit, small, all volunteer rescue group dedicated to helping cats and kittens find their forever homes.
We believe “Every Cat Deserves a Chance”.
All our cats and kittens are Spayed/Neutered, up to date on Distemper and Rabies shots, tested for FIV/FeLV, microchiped, dewormed and deflead prior to adoption.
We are no-kill rescue and all our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes until placed into forever homes.

Cat Chance Rescue is a group dedicated and committed to promoting pet spay and neuter. We provide information to educate individuals and communities of the importance of responsible pet ownership. We concentrate on spaying and neutering feral cat colonies under TNR (trap-neuter-return) program. This practice reduces unwanted litters.
