Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fuji is about 2 years old. She was rescued from the shelter when she arrived with a broken leg. The vet attempted to pin it but her body ended up with severe infection so it was decided to amputate her leg. After her recovery, she continues to run, play, cuddle, and occassionally boss. She weighs 5 pounds total. She is easily redirected and goes to bed and falls over. She still needs direction as most small dogs do. Fuji loves everyone she meets. She tends to be more fearful of very young children and will try to fuss at them. They are a bit too unpredictable for her and sometimes she can't get away fast from laying down. She loves to go everywhere we go and will beg for car rides. She sees keys and heads straight for the door and waits at the car. She loves to be held, carried, cuddled, and sleeps under the covers against her foster mom. She is very affectionate and fun. All she wants is to be with someone as much as possible. She would even make an excellent animal volunteer as she will go to anyone and roll over in their lap for belly rubs. Fuji is a special needs dog due to her missing leg. She needs a lift on and off the bed, in and out of the car, and higher level couches. Stairs in the home will be too challenging for her and she'd need carried. She has been around other dogs and does ok. She will even play, however, bigger sized dogs easily knock her off balance. She will need a very small companion or to be an only "child". She is potty trained for outside, pad trained if she has an accident while we are gone, crate trained, leash trained, and is an easy going little girl. The vet staff are all in love with this little one and she stole our hearts too. She needs a loving wonderful home to spread her joy.
