Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Matthew and his sister were Christmas babies, born on 12/20/12. His sister and mom have both been adopted - so now it's Matthew's turn!
He is everything that you expect a young lab to be - friendly, full of energy and smart. He's always on the move, but when you get his attention, he can perform some basic commands like sit and down. He likes playing in the rain - but what lab doesn't love a little water, right? He loves toys and being brushed. He walks well on a leash.
Matthew was part of a special 'nosework' training class held on the property recently. This was an enrichment exercise to teach staff and volunteers a new creative way to interact with the dogs by having them use their sniffers to hunt and search for hidden treats. Matthew did pretty well for his first try!
This handsome boy, like his mom and sis, is medium sized (approx. 52 lbs) and has an adorable underbite. He's all black, save for one secret white spot, which you can find if you come out to meet him!
