Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wink is about 6 or 7 lbs and is approximately 3 yrs old. She is just about the most fabulous little girl you will meet! Everyone is her friend and everyone must love her. She will win your heart with her funny, loving and affectionate personality. She greets you like a long lost friend and does the same with other dogs. She is about as nice as you could ask a dog to be!
She earned her name because if you look closely, you'll see that one of her eyes is under-formed so she has a permanent wink. But that doesn't slow her down, it just gives her extra character! (Her petsitter didn't even notice!!)
The only thing difficult about Wink is getting a good picture. We have a slew of pictures of her being silly, rolling over, scrubbing her head into the blanket, feet in the air and sideways glances. She is way more adorable in person!!
If you're looking for an all around great dog that is ready made, look no further! You're welcome!
***Wink is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and recovery. She has no outward sign that the heartworms have any long term affect and is making a full recovery.***
Please email for an adoption application (Microsoft Word format).
Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.
SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
