My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruckus is a spunky 2 yr old and weighs approximately 9 or 10 lbs. He is a sweet boy that is shy initially, but is a wonderful little guy once he gets to know you. When he's with 'his people', he is outgoing and sometimes playful. He has lived with other dogs and came from a home that had children. He came from an unfortunate situation, but does not behave as if he has ever been abused or neglected. He is a low maintenance guy that will give you love and laughs for years to come!

Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.

SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
