Lucy 2 is an adorable wire haired terrier mix. She was dumped out in the middle of nowhere to fend for herself. She was found to be in the family way and was also protecting her 2 pups from her last litter. Lucy gave birth to 8 more pups, soon after she came into rescue. Sadly, Lucy was so badly malnourished that she became gravely ill and required emergency medical care. Lucy made a full recovery, but was no longer allowed to nurse her pups. Her pups were sent to a rescue, specializing in orphans. The emotional toll of being able to see her puppies, but not care for them, was too much for her. She is moving on with life, since her event. Lucy 2 is 2 yrs old and weighs 15lbs. She is a real love bug. Lucy 2 walks well on a leash and is fully housebroken. She does have a bit of separation anxiety, when left home alone. This is extremely common in dogs who have been abandoned. She will need to be crated or kept in a confined area, when home alone. Lucy 2 is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, hw negative and microchipped. She will make someone a very happy human!
APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT REQUIRED. ADOPTION FEE $250
BLUEGRASS SENIOR DOG RESCUE ONLY FOSTERS/ADOPTS DOGS THAT ARE FULLY VACCINATED INCLUDING RABIES AND BORDATELLA AND ARE SPAYED/NEUTERED. BEGINNING 2015 ALL ANIMALS ARE MICROCHIPPED AND THE RESCUE PAYS THE REGISTRATION FEE. APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT REQUIRED.
Bluegrass Senior Dog Rescue recruits individuals to foster our dogs on a temporary or long term basis. The rescue pays for all of the dog’s veterinary care and monthly preventatives for the dog while in foster care.
NOTE-Fosters must live within 100 mile radius of Georgetown KY.
