My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE 11-07-15 On Nov. 4 an Animal Control Officer went to rescue a dog and a parrot who were in the house when their owner died. The dog appeared to be a Poodle, but was so matted that he couldn't even stand up. It took three days to shave all of the mats off poor little Remmie. We also clipped his 3 inch long toe nails and treated his infected ears. Remmie is now not only walking, but at times he almost runs. He's pretty much blind, although seems to see bright lights, but it doesn't slow him down as on leash he goes where he wants if you don't guide him. He spends his days napping and definitely enjoys a good meal in spite of his decayed teeth. Remmie's crate is in our office as he likes human attention. We're guessing Remmie's age to be about 12yrs. Not only does he have lots of love, appreciation and affection to give, Remmie deserves a comfortable, caring home in his old age. If you could provide such a home for Remmie and have his teeth tended to, please come to or contact the Shelter to meet Remmie. He is one of our SOS (Save Our Seniors) dogs whose adoption fee is currently being sponsored by a Senior Pet Lover.
