Angel (formerly Oliver) is looking for his new family. Angel was adopted by an incredibly loving family this past year. They truly love him. Due to very sad circumstances, Angel will have to find a new family. There is an illness in the family and they can no longer care for him. Currently he spends too much time alone between the visits to palliative care and work commitments for his dad. His dad feels this is so unfair to Angel and regrettably has asked us to help find him a new home. Dad is devastated at the losses he has right now. We know Angel is feeling the same loss right now as well
This sweet boy is looking for a family that will understand his special needs. You see, Angel doesn’t hear. Angel also has a gibbly leg from being hit by a car just prior to rescue. We don't know by whom, we don't know when. Despite his break, and after consultation with our veterinarian teams, we decided to keep his leg. It serves no purpose to take the leg. He uses the leg as a balance and counter balance. He can certainly walk, in fact he loves his daily walks and he does love to run.
He has figured out how to communicate despite his lack of hearing. Dad tells us that Angel will put his head on his knee when he wants to be snuggled, he will put his head on his feet because he doesn’t like to be alone and when he wants attention he will gently put Dad’s hand in his mouth….he doesn’t bite, it’s his form or affection. And trust me, this boy is incredibly affectionate.
All in all Angel is a joyful boy, who romps with the best of them. Extremely friendly and affectionate.
We are looking to find the perfect home for this boy. The best home would be with someone who is home often, with someone who will walk him daily because he truly enjoys his walks and with someone who enjoys cuddling a sweet boy. We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
