HI!
My name is Travis, I'm a Jack Russell Terrier. And this shaggy guy is my brother, Sean, (Shawn.). We may not look alike, but we've always been together. I'm writing because we need a new home.
Our Mom has been fostering us for two and a half years. Several times the rescue said we'd been adopted, and sent us to meet a new family, once all the way to Orlando! But when we got there, she'd already adopted someone else. Mom said, "that's enough. They're staying with me."
But now Mom isn't able to take care of us anymore. She already had two adopted dogs when we moved in, and now Mom's mother, age 91, has moved in, with her dog, Charlie. That's five dogs in a little condo. Mom is barely able to walk, and will be getting two new hips after the first of the year. She cries when she tells us that we'll find someone that will love us as much as she does.
We are very well "socialized," whatever that means. We went to an adoption event, and loved the attention we got. I perked up every time a kid came in the door. Good kids are special! We get along with all dogs, even very big ones, and we're good at the dog park. I think cats might be a problem with me, I don't know much about them, but Sean is a pretty mellow guy, seeing one didn't turn him on.
Mom says that we are "bonded?" and would like us to stay together, but she's told us that we'll be fine if that can't happen. We didn't mind the adoption event, but it was a little stressful, and we hope we can go home with someone soon, and be part of their family. (Personally, I'm a real cuddler.) We are good boys, housebroken, crate trained, up to date on shots, and just, well, can I say, just about perfect?
