My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She's the sweetest little cat, shaped like a groundhog, and all she wants is to purr in your arms.

Mahalia will be happiest in a home with lots of cuddle time, although she does like to play sometimes as well. She gets along fine with other cats, though she gives them a stern grumble if they invade her personal space, particularly when she is enjoying her food. She knows how to get her way, though, because the other cats do not mess with her, so we'd say she knows what she is doing with them.

Cuddly little Mahalia was scheduled to die at a rural animal control. A rescue had signed to take her but backed out when she tested positive for FIV. So we took her to find her a home.

Mahalia boarded at our vet for a couple days while we got ready for her, and it tells you just how sweet she is that every single person at the vet commented on it.

Mahalia's dreams would come true if she could just have her very own person to hold her tight and tell her how special she is. She wants that so badly. Can you help?

FIV is easily managed when cats live indoors-- ask us for information!
