SOPHIE SOPHIA BELLA
Meet Sophie Sophia Bella, the most beautiful gal with three first names. At a Poverty's Pets Spay/Neuter clinic a sweet elderly woman approached us and explained that she had a dog in her car that had been hanging around her garage for a few days. She asked us to take Sophie as she simply could not care for her. What we offered was a solution that was not ideal but it was all we believed we could do. We agreed to take the dog and deliver her to the County Shelter. With her tail tucked between her legs, Sophie was turned over to us. Once in our care, Sophie Sophia Bella proceeded to climb into each of our laps. It did not take long before the group of volunteers realized we cannot deliver this sweet girl to the shelter. So today this once homeless dog has a foster Mom who tells us just how wonderful she is. Sophie would make an incredible loving companion to anyone both kids and adults. Her best attributes include being playful, sensitive, intelligent, athletic and pretty. She sheds very little. She is mostly white with fawn spots and it looks like she has eyeliner on her eyes – so pretty. She is trainable with hand signals (the few her foster mom knows), and a strong tone in your voice. She has learned not to jump on people she meets. She pulls at the leash but with more walks the better she gets. When she first meets people she can be shy, but once gets a sniff she is ok. Her mouth is very soft; meaning she delicately takes food from you. She would rather have affection than food most of the time.
Sophie likes to take walks/hikes on all types of terrain. She loves to run free in the desert/park/forest when she goes on her hikes with her foster mom. Mostly, she enjoys going to the Salt River for a hike then fetching rocks and sticks from the water. Sophie Loves water. She puts her whole face in the water to retrieve rocks. She loves life and loves to play. Sophie has done well with some dogs but not a cat fan. We feel with proper introductions, she could be a great playmate. Mostly, she loves human companionship.
