Renegade is a magnificent sable-colored German Shepherd Dog. He's about 6 years old, an adult in his prime. He's a very large male, with a strong, imposing build. He's been a gentle giant in foster care.
We think he's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog for someone who understands and appreciates this breed. He gets along with everyone and everything: he's great with other dogs, kids, and even cats! He's easy-going and charming. He still has enough youthful energy to romp and play with much younger dogs.
We're especially impressed with how gentle he is with young kids. He is affectionate with his people and loves to snuggle on the sofa (and has been known to rearrange the cushions to get them "just right" for optimal comfort!).
He's learning how to walk on a leash in his foster home, and his adopters will need to continue working on that through a good obedience course. He's very smart and will love the opportunity to continue learning how to do the right thing in his foster home.
Renegade is already house-trained and crate-trained.
