My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling little COWBOY is ready to saddle up to his new family. He's a fun loving kind of pup with a joyful appreciation for his toys and blankets.

He quite the gentleman. When meeting you for the first time, he'll sit and put out his paw so to shake your hand with a welcoming smile.

Cowboy is great with kids, cats and other dogs. He's a typical puppy except he's not a barker, which is a good thing if you have neighbors nearby.

This sweet pup is living with his foster mom and other foster brothers and does well in a multi dog family or as a single dog family as well.

Our adoption process works a bit different than other shelters and rescues! Paddy's Paws serves as a coordinator for Houston rescues. We send out the applications, arrange home visits and secure back up fosters for each of the dogs that will be transported here. Like most foster-based organizations, we do not have a facility and set up all appointments on an individual basis. Prior to any meet and greets, we require an approved application so we will need to go through all the steps before having you meet any of the available dogs here in Wisconsin.

We start with the completed application and then check references/vet records. The next step is a homevisit with family and one of our representatives. Once we have gathered all this information, we provide it to the Houston team. Then, we can set up a meet and greet with available dogs.
