Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When Macaroni was first brought into the shelter, it was obvious that something is wrong. Her forelegs were meant to be straight, all the way down to the ground. In Macaroini's case, her feet curve inwards (especially on the left).
She walked on the outer sides of her feet, rather than placing her feet squarely on the ground. What happened to this little girl you ask? This was caused by malnutrition. If puppies do not recieve the proper nutrition during their growth spurts, their bones become soft and one of the foreleg bones can grow faster than the other, causing that bowing effect.
What is the treatment for this girl you ask? Only a good quality diet and some sunshine! And look at Macaroni now! Her legs have legs are almost already straight again! I will include Macaroni's (Macky) originial photo at the end of this album so that you can see for yoiurself the new and improved Macky! It's amazing what a little love and a full belly can do for a sweet pup! For more info on Macky, contact pdcarson@cox.net or you can can drop by our Dog Adoption House at 8476 Highland rd!
If you would like to make a donation so that we can continue to save more pups like little Macky, please visit here to donate online: http://friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/donate
