Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Mikey is currently living in a foster home in Houston and is available for local or out of town adoption.*
This adorable little guy is about 3.5 years old and just 9 pounds. He is a pocket pup, a Chihuahua/ Terrier mix. This sweet boy was found running down the street alone in the rain in Houston, Texas. He was most definitely in a risky situation and we couldn’t let him stay there. One of our volunteers scooped him up and we told him that he’ll never have to worry or be frightened again.
Mikey has a very relaxed disposition; in fact…his foster calls him the definition of CHILL! He is happy to just hang out with his humans and take it easy. He’d love to have a lazy afternoon, watch a movie, have a snack and a belly rub. He is pretty shy upon first introductions, but with some affection and some cuddles, he will be more than happy to befriend a calm, tender family.
Our cute little guy lives with several cats and really loves them. He also has met several other dogs and is a little shy and hesitant around them at first, but he has been fine with them. We want to make sure that he gets matched up with a gentle and nice dog if he joins a family that already has one.
He is crate trained, potty pad trained and is working on his leash skills. He is already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He unfortunately was diagnosed with heartworms and has already started his treatment. His new family will have to continue the treatment and the medications will be provided for his adopter.
Mikey is currently in a foster home and finally learning all about the good life and how he is supposed to be treated. Because Mikey is still working on overcoming his shyness, he would do best in an adult only family or with older children.
Little Mikey is ready to meet his new family and hoping to hear from you soon. He is currently living in Houston with his foster family and his cat friends, but he’s available for local or out-of-town adoption as well. He’d be more than happy to start over with a great family and leave his beginning in the past. His adoption fee is $300. If this charming face is too irresistible to pass up, please fill out the adoption application on our website, www.reggiesfriends.org under the Adoptables tab. If you have additional questions about him, feel free to email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org.
