AVAILABLE 11-03-15 Athena is just 14 months old and has had three homes (not counting the Shelter). Her original owner gave her to a friend when she was just 10 months old. After just a month the friend brought Athena to the Shelter on Aug. 10, because she was too much responsibility Athena was adopted on Sept. 3, but the family brought her back to the Shelter on Oct. 31, because they were not able to give her the time she deserved. They were able to tell us that Athena is housetrained and she knows some basic commands - sit, stay and wait. They reported that she did well with other dogs. They said Athena enjoys playing fetch, taking walks and running in the fenced yard. She "loves giving kisses to us and our 20 month old twin daughters. Loves to snuggle and cuddle." They described Athena as playful, curious and active. Athena is now spayed, her shots are up to date, she's micro chipped and heart worm negative. Athena is always more than ready to get out of her kennel to take a walk at the Shelter. She walks well on leash and seems to want to please. With her short legs and broad chest, Athena seems to be part Staffordshire Terrier.
