Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am a gentle, sweet 10 year old treeing walker coonhound. I am a new addition to the rescue. See, my dad adopted me in 2007 from a local shelter and gave me the best home ever. However, a few months ago, he went to the hospital and has not returned. They said he is terminal, which seems to be a very bad thing. He was paying for me to be in boarding because he was worried I would go to shelter and might be euthanized due to my age. He was very excited when the HoundSong Rescue offered to take me in and find me another loving, forever home! I am adjusting pretty well to all these changes and really hope I can find a home to love and spoil me just like my other dad did. I really love chin scratches and an open jar of peanut butter. I am blind in one eye, but it does not slow me down one bit! I get around well and am not even on any meds. Do not let me age deter you! I am social, sweet, and active. I LOVE to play, do well on stairs, and just enjoy life! I am crate trained and housetrained. I walk well on a leash and am a laid back, happy-go-lucky old lady hound. If you want to meet me, please contact the HoundSong Rescue!! You will not be disappointed! My adoption fee is $150. For this, you get ME, who is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. If you have questions about me or the adoption process, please visit www.houndsong.com.
