Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT TWISTER (UPDATE JAN 28!)
Twister is an adorable little 13 pound 15 year old who lived in a loving home his whole life until his owner was no longer able to keep him. Relatives put Twister and his friend Otto (who unfortunately died Jan 27) in a crowded shelter and another family member heard about this and got them out as soon as they could.
Twister is blind but he is a confident, relaxed sweetheart who is wonderfully friendly and snuggly. He loves tummy rubs and will lie on his side begging with his front feet for more attention, so cute!
Twister is also wonderful on the leash and is not afraid to just trot along with you. He also potties nicely while out on the leash. He is adaptable and gets to know new environments quickly.
His hearing is great and he pays close attention to his people and faces you when you speak to him.
The vet noted a few crystals in his urine so he needs to stay on a special diet to keep everything healthy. His blood work was perfectly normal, including kidney function, and he will have a dental cleaning on Nov. 16th. He does need inexpensive daily drops to keep his eyes comfy.
Twister would be perfectly fine as an only dog but would also be a nice companion to your current sweet, calm dog.
Twisters owners ex wife said the pups were housetrained years ago. We let him live in our kennel kitchen and he has not had any accidents. Since his friend Otto died, we are letting a sweet, calm Chihuahua live in the kitchen with him to keep him company.
Adoption $100. This precious displaced senior absolutely deserves to have a new family to love him and a place to call home again.
