Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Festus is a spry little senior rat terrier mix who was pulled from the Guilford County shelter. He is living a comfy life with us as our latest kitchen resident, which means he can roam free in the kitchen, rest in a soft doggie bed whenever he wants, get lots of loving from the employees, and live a happy, stress free life while he waits for his forever home. He seems to be housetrained.
Festus is a sociable guy and is friendly and confident with everyone here as well as new people he meets. He enjoys gentle children. He is also fine with the other little dogs here since he is an easy going guy.
This affectionate, gentle and sweet guy loves attention and will roll around happily in your lap when you invite him for cuddles. He is a huggable lap warmer.
We were told that he lost his front leg in a car accident years ago. He hops around just fine and does enjoy going on short walks. We can tell that he would love to go on long adventures if he had four working legs! He is good on the leash and happy to see it when it is time to go out.
This 11 year old charmer is currently 13 pounds but needs to gain some. He has a great appetite and loves to get healthy treats.
He is a precious senior who certainly did not deserve to be left in a noisy county shelter. If you love sweet natured seniors, you will easily fall in love with this guy! He has happy years left to live and so much love to offer his new family. He is well behaved and should fit right into his new home.
