And now a few words from me:

Hi, my name is Thelma, but my foster mom sometimes calls me 'T'. I was found as a stray, along with my friend Louise. I was in pretty rough shape until CDRO came along. Since then, I've had a warm bed to sleep in, healthy food to eat, foster fur siblings to play with, and loads and loads of love. Foster mom says that I am probably the sweetest dog she has ever met. Well, I AM pretty great, if I do say so myself. Can you imagine how someone as cute as me could end up homeless??? What I want more than anything is a family of my very own that will keep me safe and make sure that never happens to me again. I promise to repay you with all of my love and a ton of kisses every day. So what do you say? Am I your girl? I sure hope I am!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Thelma is just an amazing girl. She has two completely separate personalities. When she's outside, she is so adventurous and curious. She loves to explore, and chase the birds and squirrels. Most days, it's nearly impossible to convince her to come back inside. But once indoors, she absolutely has to be near her humans, and displays a shy and insecure side. She loves to be loved and is quick to lie down next to you and ask you sweetly to rub her belly. She is a real cuddle bug. She gets along well with the other dogs in our house, and was quite curious about the cats until she realized they didn't really want to play with her anyway.

Thelma is mostly housetrained but she has had the odd accident. She does best when kept on a schedule, and when not left for too many hours at a time.

She is crate trained and is quite happy to sleep in her crate at night, but would prefer the big bed if you'd allow it. She will fall asleep next to you and you'll wake to find her in the same spot. She just wants to stay close to you. She loves going for walks and exploring the outdoors, but isn't a fan of the car, and does better if she's crated when travelling.

Thelma is looking for a home where she will have another canine companion to keep her company. She'd do well with an active family that enjoys the outdoors and is looking for a canine companion to come along and enjoy the fun. She would likely do well in a home with older, respectful children….the more people that are available to love her, the happier she'll be. A backyard to explore would be a dream for her, but if there is a way to escape from it, she'll find it, so ensuring that the yard is secure is critical to keeping her safe.

Thelma will make a wonderful addition to any family lucky enough to adopt her.
